**About Chiper**

Chiper is a tech Startup present in Colombia, Mexico and Brazil. Through its e-commerce platform, it offers mass consumer products at direct manufacturer prices to independent businesses such as neighborhood stores, liquor stores, mini-markets, among others. Our purpose is to create bridges between low and middle-income people who are looking for better alternatives to buying their essential goods, their needs, and opportunities for traditional and obsolete models with technology, always thinking about that end-user and their alternatives. Our inspiration is the ultimate buyer sourcing from these independent businesses.

Chiper was born as a project in 2018 and in 2019 it was launched as a company. We have had accelerated growth and we seek to add to our team of entrepreneurs who dream of taking over the world, who enjoy an environment of uncertainty and co-creation. **Be part of a team where you will be**:
As a Backend Engineer Sr you will be responsible to implement components related to logic on the server side, the definition and maintenance of the different micro-services, guaranteeing maintainability, scalability, high performance and responsiveness to requests from the Front-End.

**We are looking for**:
Professionals in systems engineering, computer science, electronics or related careers.

**Your principal responsibilities will be**:

- Integrate services with the Front-End / mobile team to guarantee the consistency of the elements they consume and the maximum possible performance.
- Maintain and scale the services previously developed in order to give continuity and correct technological execution to the company's products.
- Develop unit tests in order to validate the correct operation of each minimum unit of software.
- Document each development in order to ensure that the integrations between front-end and back-end are efficient and the software can be maintainable over time.

**We are looking the next skills**:

- Node.js, typescript and frameworks like Express, StrongLoop, NestJs.
- Pub-Sub messaging, RabbitMQ, Kafka
- SQL and noSQL database
- Asynchronous programming and workarounds.
- Server side templates like Jade, EJS, among others.
- Authentication and authorization between different servers, environments and systems.
- Accessibility and security compliance.
- Integration with multiple data sources and databases.
- Code versioning tools like Git.
