The Resource Developmet role will develop your relationship management capability working with international colleagues and being a key contributor to the profitability and customer satisfaction across Microsoft’s Industry Solutions businesses. Your communication and organisational skills will be enhanced as you influence resourcing decisions like project staffing, resource pooling scenarios, mix optimization, workforce planning and readiness.
**Responsibilities**:
**Resource Management**
- Guides others to process requests from resource management systems. Proposes and fulfills assignments for complex staffing requests. Leads staffing for large deals/projects by curating the process and negotiating with stakeholders. Ensures requests are met and staffing efficiency. Provides recommendations and guidance for improving overall team results across the time zone.
- Collaborates with business teams to ensure utilization performance meets target/forecast. Analyzes utilization reports to draw insights from the results and guides others in the analysis. Recommends, prescribes, and leads programmatic efforts to improve utilization performance across the time zone.
- Collaborates with managers of technical delivery resources in the deployment of resources in supported domain/time zone to make suggestions. Makes recommendations to business stakeholders on skill/accreditation adjustment to meet business demands. Seeks cross-group and leadership collaboration in order to provide guidance to team members on facilitating skill development.
- Guides the rhythm and enhancement of the content for the rhythm. Leverages key delivery resources in communication (e.g., community calls). Maintains relationships with community leaders (e.g., Services Practice Lead, Regional Business Leader).
- Handles escalations and resolves global/complex staffing issues. Leads team members on resolving staffing issues. Establishes processes/practices that can be adopted across domains/time zones. Identifies escalation trends. Recommends and leads actions to address the trends/drivers of staffing issues.
- Provides capacity recommendations in the early stage of deal or delivery structuring in alignment with domain capacity outlook and constraints and active involvement with the opportunity manager.
**Driving Business Transformation**
- Develops new standardized global processes and communicates with the leadership team to get buy-in and support. Leads the implementation of processes/standards. Leads changes within the Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) organization to improve internal and stakeholder experiences.
- Leads the continuous improvement of the Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) process. Quantifies and prioritizes feedback on the process, tools, and business intelligence (BI) to formulate actions. Guides others on best practices. Serves as an extended member of the time zone domain leadership team in critical discussions, key time zone events, and meetings. Supports domain leader as the lead resource manager to scale the business globally.
**Operational Excellence**
- Leads the capacity analysis and capacity insight discussions as a thought leader. Presents insights on global capacity management into external communities. Engages and supports the global resource management team on capacity or resource management matters to lead actions/changes and ensures alignment of staffing strategies.
- Actively maintains Global Resource Management (GRM) data quality to ensure accurate insights to support current and long-term resourcing requirements.
- Guides others on ensuring requestor accountability. Leads efforts to drive consistency across domains and time zones.
- Progresses all active staffing requests within Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) Service Level Agreement (SLA). Analyzes SLA data and coaches' others on efficiency to improve results and support compliance. Suggests changes to the leadership team to capture business scenarios accurately through metrics and SLA.
