EHS Specialist

**EHS Specialist**(Zona Franca Rionegro, Antioquia)**

**Position Summary**:Under the supervision of the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, the EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing workplace safety programs, conducting safety inspections, maintaining compliance documentation, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Safety Program Implementation
- Assist in implementing and maintaining safety programs
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Monitor compliance with company policies and regulations
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Training and Development
- Conduct safety training sessions
- Provide First Aid, CPR, and AED training
- Support new employee safety orientations
- Develop and update safety training materials
- Compliance and Documentation
- Help maintain OSHA 300 logs and related documentation
- Review and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Support safety documentation for new campaigns
- Assist in writing and updating standard operating procedures
- Participate in process hazard analyses
- Program Support and Communication
- Participate in safety committee meetings
- Contribute to weekly safety meetings
- Assist in workers' compensation claim management
- Support safety budget planning and monitoring
- Interface with all levels of management and staff

**Education and Certifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or related field preferred
- Associate's degree with relevant experience considered
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, CSP) preferred

**Experience / Skills / Abilities**:

- 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing
- Proficiency in safety management systems
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to wear required PPE including respirators
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
