Specialist Accounting

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

- In the dynamic DTC business environment, as Specialist of eCom accounting area within the team, the main focus of this role is to support eCom accounting data for adidas LAM is reported in a timely and accurately manner, and meets the requirements set within the adidas Group policies.
- Key Responsibilities:

- Support MEC analysis and understand general process to back up the process in case it is needed.
- Support the reconciliation and investigate and resolve discrepancies for eCom GL accounts on a monthly basis.
- Monitoring of systems interfaces, review and explain variations in regarding of eCom in the different IT systems (e.g. SAP, OMNI, etc).
- Support the successful execution of all accounting activities for eCom topics, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with Global Financial Shared Services and other teams on ad hoc eCom Accounting projects as required.
- Attends to queries from internal departments in relation to eCom Accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests.
- Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.

- Understanding of accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to deal with ambiguity in an ever-changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude and working collaboratively within the team.
- Must be deadline driven, results-oriented, highly responsible and accountable, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be extremely proactive, have strong initiative and be self-motivated. High integrity, ethics and strong values; excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation, and a high degree of accuracy are all essential.
- Good problem-solving skills; strong decision-making skills; innovative use of IT tools and new technology; and good time management and priority setting skills required.
- Must have strong accounting and analytical skills
- Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Intermediate level in written & spoken English.
- Proficient computer skills (MS-Office).
- SAP experience preferred.
