We're hiring for a remote role A leading U. S. transport and logistics company is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Sales Operations Specialist for a remote role. This is a unique hybrid position that seamlessly integrates critical operational support with direct sales responsibilities. **Compensation & Benefits**

Pay: $25,000-$35,000 annually, depending on experience.

Target Incentive: $6,000 (with potential to achieve higher).

**Qualifications**

Exprience: Minimum of 2-3 years of Customer/Carrier Sales experience.

Skills: Strong negotiation skills; outbound sales, cold calling, or outbound prospecting experience; excellent organizational and time management skills; strong ability to multi-task; and is process-driven.

Work Environment: Desires and is able to work in a motivated, fast-paced, competitive environment.

Relationships: Experience building carrier and/or customer relationships; friendly, outgoing, and confident; ability to build rapport with clients.

Teamwork & Independence: Willingness to work in a team environment, but able to conduct themselves and work independently, driven to achieve individual results without being micromanaged.

Technical: Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.

**Education Requirements**

High school diploma or GED required. College preferred.

**Responsibilities**

The responsibilities for this role are flexible and will be shaped by your existing expertise and our current needs. Key areas of focus may include:

**Sales-focused Responsibilities**

  • Communication & Customer Service: Professionally represent the company through various communication channels, handling inbound and outbound calls, and managing complex customer situations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans, including identifying high
  • to medium-potential accounts, and consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers through cold calling, networking, and other prospecting methods. Research leads, qualify prospects, and conduct introductory/discovery calls.
  • Collaboration & Solution Building: Collaborate with Account Managers and Carrier Sales to build ideal solutions and pricing, preparing rates to secure lucrative opportunities and achieve sales goals.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Overcome objections, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and work with cross-functional departments to finalize agreements.
  • Account Management: Accurately track growth opportunities, develop contact and strategic account plans, and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Pipeline Presentation: Present qualified customers/prospects in pipeline presentations to key stakeholders.

**Operations-focused Responsibilities**

  • Carrier Management: Strategically outreach to and onboard new qualified carriers, developing strong relationships to match them with our shipments.
  • Load Management: Obtain and record shipment booking information, efficiently booking trucks on loads while ensuring profitability and adherence to customer-specific procedures.
  • Issue Resolution & Support: Provide consistent communication and updates to support customer and carrier-facing sales teams. Proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve problems, facilitating professional communication with all parties involved.
  • Market Analysis & Pricing: Examine market capacity resources to determine pricing, capacity, and truck availability.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain load boards, ensure accurate postings, and confirm essential load details. Track and report driver detention, layover, and other incidental pay items.
  • Process Improvement: Understand and promote company culture, goals, policies, and procedures, partnering with leadership to identify new service opportunities.
  • Bid Assistance: Respond to all RFP/quote requests and assist Account Managers with customer bids on newer accounts.
