Overview:
The Data Engineer is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems
and building them from the ground up. The Data Engineer will support our data analysts and data scientists on
data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They
must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple clients, teams, systems, and
products.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support the customer (internal and external) in identifying the data needs and / or requirements for the
improvement of processes.
- Perform a review of the quality, integrity, and source of the databases for the implementation of the
defined analytical models.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture,
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes,
optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with datarelated technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and Azure
regions.
- Build the necessary tools to allow the enrichment of databases by users, through automations or web
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and
optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Qualifications:
Formal Education
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of certified experience working in data engineering projects.
- Demonstratable development of advanced analytics solutions in real world scenarios across multiple
industries and lines of business.
- Knowledge to establish methodologies to create/redefine analytics models.
Special Certifications
- Desirable.Net and/or Python Certification.
Languages
- Spanish
- B2 English.
