We are searching for an university qualified accountant, CPA / CA accredited and Tier 1 accounting firm (e.g. PWC) trained Finance Manager who has at least 3 years finance management experience with a 'start-up' business expanding into overseas markets. You will have already helped propel a business(es) to global success, and be able to contribute your experience and advice to support the Staffing Group in our journey.

An hourly rate of US$20 per hour (8-12 hours p/w) will be paid via Upwork (setup as a Contractor) initially with a quarterly bonus payment of up to US$1,000 for the achievement of agreed KPIs. There is scope for future pay rises and incentives dependent upon your capability and contribution to the success of the Staffing Group.

In order to be successful in this role you will also need to have an advanced ability to quickly learn and master finance software / systems, of which you will be responsible to configure and optimize. So an advanced online digital proficiency is critical in this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accounts payable / receivable
- Bank reconciliation
- Invoice set up and follow up
- Payroll in Australia (fortnightly) & bonuses
- Preparation and lodgement of tax reporting (Monthly/Quarterly/Annual)
- Financial / Statutory reporting
- Liaising and Management of External Accountants & Auditing
- Manage, train and lead staff and contractors to undertake tasks as required
- Managing the financial operations of the group, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting
- Leading participant in business planning and strategy development
- Ability to step into operations management as necessary (and if available)

**Overseas Expansion Responsibilities**:

- Understanding of overseas expansion statutory requirements
- Managing the accounts functions as we scale location operations in each country
- Sourcing and liaising with local Accountants and other professional partners
- Researching and establishing new market entry requirements to register businesses, setup bank accounts. etc
- Update and maintain procedure manuals
- Assist with internal HR processes as required

**Your Skills & Experience**:

- Advanced or Native English verbal and written proficiency
- Degree qualified in Accounting
- Post graduate MBA or equivalent qualified (preferred)
- Advanced Xero software experience (strongly preferred)
- Experience managing or leading finance or accounts staff in a multi-country start-up
- Entrepreneurial and an astute financial professional with 3+ management experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Quick learner of systems and very technically savvy to pick-up and configure new software and processes
