**Job Description**:
Responsible for the bidding process including Process Automation Solutions (solutions, services, design or manufacturing and services for automation projects). This rol lead the bidding process from initial contact through contract signing, with particular emphasis on establishing the technical solution, financial analysis, terms & conditions, cash fow trading terms. Responsible for generation, validating and endorsing the technical solution.
The proposal consultant works togother with the solution consultant and sales team to generate and activate the bidding strategy on each opportunity to win and win projects.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develops & create proposal documents for automation solutions.
- Evaluates customer RFQ’s to create advantageous position for Rockwell Automation
- Discovers and understands customer's primary business goals, operations, challenges and requirements.
- Aligns and applies entire scope of Rockwell products, solutions and services to meet the customer's business needs.
- Validates and endorses the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid.
- Provides technical support to sales group, participates in site visits and technical discussions with customer/consultants on an as needed basis.
- Responsible for achieving validation of technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid.
- Executes request for approvals on bids in accordance with established approval process
- Works closely with partners to obtain competitive pricing by 3rd party suppliers.
- Works closely with the Project Management and Engineering teams to ensure correct estimation for time and resurces required for projects
- May contribute to customer negotiations during bidding phase
- Manages complex bid/proposals
- Maximizes change order profitability by identifying, categorizing and minimizing risks during the proposal phase.
