BI Project Manager

The Business Intelligence Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful execution of BI projects, from planning and requirements analysis to implementation and delivery. The person in this role will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with data-driven solutions, ensuring effective collaboration between technical teams and business users, and delivering valuable insights that enable informed decision-making.

The BI Project Manager responsibilities include develop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Manage the project throughout its lifecycle, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any concerns.

**Duties and Responsabilities**:

- Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs. Translate requirements into technical specifications, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with project objectives. Analyze existing data sources, systems, and infrastructure to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a cross-functional team of BI analysts, data engineers, and other project resources. Provide guidance, support, and direction to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Assign tasks, set priorities, and track individual and team progress.
- Data Modeling and Integration: Work closely with data engineers and architects to design and develop data models, ETL processes, and data integration strategies. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with IT teams to leverage existing data infrastructure and technology.
- Reporting and Visualization: Oversee the design and development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively present insights and key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure that the deliverables meet user requirements, are visually appealing, and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with business users, executives, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, expectations, and feedback. Regularly communicate project updates, risks, and milestones, ensuring transparency and managing expectations. Address concerns, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Develop and execute test plans to validate the accuracy, completeness, and functionality of BI solutions. Conduct data validation, perform user acceptance testing (UAT), and address issues or defects in collaboration with the project team. Ensure that the final deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance BI processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business intelligence. Share knowledge and promote a culture of continuous learning within the project team and the organization.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of six years of experience managing various types of projects using Agile Methodologies
- Experience working on project and portfolio management Tools (Jira, MS Project, Clarity, etc.)
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager
- Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative)
- Jira Atlassian expertise
- AWS certification Business Professional minimum
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
- Strong team leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of business objectives
- In depth understanding of project management concepts
- English level C2.

**Working Conditions**:

- General office working conditions with hybrid work structure. The employee will work both remotely and from the office, as needed.
