**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Advanced Database Administration: Create new Microsoft SQL Server instances, configure and maintain database servers and processes, and Download and install SQL Server service packs and updates
- SQL Server Administrator: Expert MS-SQL DB administrator, configured and maintained SQL Security controls, Proactively monitored SQL Server maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed processes
- Backup and Recovery: Manage database backup and recovery and disaster recovery planning
- High Availability and Scalability: Configure and manage high-availability solutions such as including AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering; well-versed with replication methodology, HA configuration, and failover in MS-SQL Database
- Security Management: Develop and enforce comprehensive security policies for database access, encryption, and auditing; perform Security patches and upgrades
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex database issues, including performance bottlenecks, corruption issues, and critical failures
- Capacity Planning and Growth: Analyze current and future database capacity requirements and plan for scalability to accommodate growth and evolving business needs
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of database architectures, configurations, and processes. Provide regular reports on database performance and status
- Automation: Strong end-to-end Automation Skills, Excellent knowledge of Python scripting, Terraform, etc.

**Qualifications**
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Availability to work in the office twice a week
- Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are highly desirable

Experience & Technical Skills:

- Minimum of 10+ years of strong experience as a SQL Server Administrator
- 4+ years of Proficiency in Managing and configuring High Availability and DR configurations
- Must have 5+ years of Proficiency in Python scripting and end to end Automation
- 2+ years of Strong familiarity with Azure Arc and other monitoring and management tools like Service Now
- 5+ Years of Strong familiarity with experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) with working knowledge on Terraform
- Good to have Oracle DBA knowledge and troubleshooting skills
