**Brief description**

The Payment Poster is responsible for all aspects of overseeing and posting payments whether they be from patient or insurance. Daily operations include accepting and processing billing statements, keeping track of payment deposits via patient or insurance company, prepare payment batches, access EOBs from insurance companies using up to date portals, and to keep accurate billing records and to report any discrepancies to accounting.

**Tasks**
- All aspects of receiving payments and posting in an accurate and timely manner
- Transfer payments as necessary and documenting accordingly
- Verify all received payments have been posted correctly by month end
- Utilize multiple portals and software to obtain information needed for completion of posting
- Post adjustments, refunds, etc.
- Identify all underpaid claims based on historical information
- Balance all companies weekly
- File posted deposits, checks, etc accurately
- Utilize spreadsheets and understand working formulas to ensure accurate reporting to executives as far as revenue
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Knowledge and understanding of EOBs
- Ability to assure that all posting is accurate and posted in a timely manner before end of month close
- Ability to identify denied and underpaid claims
- Ability to close and balance all companies in a timely manner each week
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to research and analyze data
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively with insurance companies, providers, management, and staff
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.

**Education, Experience, and Licensing**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in a related billing or clerical position

**Lines of communication**
- This position will report directly to the Director of Operations

**Working conditions**
- Full-Time - 40 hours a week.

Pay: From $2,500,000 per hour
