This role is responsible for the legal matters of Elanco's business in the MAZ sub-region - Middle Americas Zone (Central America, Caribbean and the Andean region) and Chile (including its export markets but excluding the Aqua Business). Also, the Senior Counsel MAZ & Chile is both strategic and operational. This lawyer will provide strategic and operational legal support in relation to a wide range of legal matters, including commercial, manufacturing, litigation, competition law, anti-corruption, regulation, environment, consumer law, ethics & compliance, privacy, labor, and other legal matters. This role is expected to take a leadership position in the MAZ Lead Team where it has a seat by representing the legal department itself and acting as a leader for the region.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic legal advice to the MAZ cluster and Chile, including export markets linked to Chile and excluding the Aqua Business.
- Member of the Lead Team of MAZ.
- Prepare, review and negotiate all contracts related to the business, according to the established policy.
- Prevent, detect and proactively respond to legal risks in business operations.
- Provide strategic legal advice in relation to the exporting countries of the LATAM region, including the analysis of the legal impacts on the Go To Market, the business model and other related aspects.
- Provide legal advice on competition law.
- Develop a training plan and provide legal training to staff.
- Manage legal corporate documents in the subsidiaries of MAZ and Chile.
- Manage the budget assigned to the legal area.
- Coordinate external law firms in consulting and litigation matters.
- Implement continuous improvement processes, if the opportunity exists.
- Legal review of promotional materials, according to the approved policy. Provide legal support to local compliance and privacy officers.
- Provide local legal advice on employment issues. Evaluate trade associations with distributors, suppliers and industry organizations.
- Provide local support and guidance on local corporate security matters, as required.
- Provide support and guidance on issues related to Ethics & Compliance, in accordance with the applicable Elanco policies and procedures, as well as the relevant laws in force in the territories related to this matter, taking into account the responsibilities applicable to the Integrated Attorney Network (IAN).
