Claims Coordinator

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
**The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Examining, processing, and calculating medical claims insuring filings, documentation, and reports
- Assisting claimants, providers, and clients with problems or questions regarding their claims and/or policies
- Process claims reimbursements for gap.
- Transfer deductibles
- Help file Short
- and Long-Term Disability Claims
- Assist with Medication Issues
- Assist with authorizations.
- Verify benefits.
- Provide insurance information to providers.
- Assist with appeals.

**Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Six to 12 months of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as medical and drug manuals, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Skill and ability to read and understand manuals, medical terminology, and insurance claims.
- Ability to handle high volumes of claims and work independently with mínimal supervision Must be a multitasker and have time management skills.

**Work Schedule**:
From Monday to Friday (9:00 am to 6:00 pm)
