Accounting Analyst

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. **We are actively looking for a Accounting Analyst to join our Bogota office.** As part of the Accounting Team, this position with be responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.

**Summary**

Responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.

**Essential functions**
- General Ledger:

- Prepare the financial records for the countries assigned by the Accounting manager LATAM
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled or cleared monthly
- Perform and maintain general ledger account reconciliations
- Compose miscellaneous journal entries
- Reconcile and clear suspense accounts
- Reconciliation with third parties:

- Reconcile M&N financials with the local financial statements provided by the Outsourcing in each country. Ensure that the Reconciliation parties were eliminated with the necessary adjustments / reclassifications.

**Required education and experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field required
- Experience: 1 year public or private accounting
- Proficiency in MS Office (emphasis on Excel and Word).
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal/written communication skills

**Work environment**

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some overtime/weekend hours required

**Physical demands**

Sedentary role, however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

**Travel required**
