**Role Objective**:

- Own the technical implementation of a squad of Rappi
- Ensure best practices, quality, availability and resilience while delivering mission critical systems with tight deadlines.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- You will participate in managing and coaching the team in software development best practices, including writing unit tests, performing code reviews, re-using proven software patterns, define epics estimations and roadmaps and prioritize tech backlog
- Be accountable of the technical reliability and code quality of our systems Set up engineering processes.

**Key Requirements**:

- Experience managing a team of 9+ people
- 5-10 years of experience in an industry with scale type of problems
- + 5 years of experience using NodeJs, Java, microservices based architecture
- Experience using Postgres, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, Mysql
- Strong software architecture and system integration skills
- Technical capacity planning skills
- Production issues escalation experience
- Startup experience
- The ability to ship both MVPs and highly scalable products
- Experience leading high performance technical teams
- Experience in a high growth, fast scaling environment
- Experience with SCRUM, Kanban or some other agile frameworks
- Ability to communicate complicated technical problems and solutions to both technical and business audiences
- Knowledge in testing and experimenting strategies, both in development and production
- Familiar with microservice-oriented and cloud ready software architectures
