**Job Description**

It is the Network Engineer's job to develop, configure and maintain networks in accordance with the functional specifications established to support the automation of work.

The Network Engineer helps outline a future network and maintain current networks, performing tests to make sure there is nothing wrong in the network.

The Network Engineer also installs new elements in the network and advises on conditions for optimal functioning of the network.

By using the correct configurations and coding, the Network Engineer makes it possible for employees to interact with the network without always having to call in the help of the Network Engineer.

**Tasks**
- Establishing networking environment by installing, configuring, testing and documenting the equipment/network systems according to the design and specifications on customers or company’s environment.
- Analyze and solve reported network problems.
- Lead in the configuration of firewall security settings to access permissions groups for individuals and sets up provisions for incoming data.
- Lead network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing function of other systems.
- Lead in the development and production of complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software.
- Participate in presales process and designs for proposals.
- Able to work in the Colombian and Caribbean region (travel upon needs)
**Experience**
- Expertise in network and firewall systems
- Understanding of communication and routing protocols
- Network analyzers, channels and switches
- Network administration, development and monitoring software
**Knowledge**
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with switches, firewalls and other network components;
- Knowledge of security concepts and network concepts;
- Knowledge of Fortinet platforms (preferable Fortigate, FortiAnalyzer, Fortiweb)
- Knowledge of Cisco platforms (preferable Nexus, ACI, Catalyst, Meraki)
- Knowledge of ITIL, ISO 20000, ISO 27001
**Education and Training**
- Universitary title.
- 5+ years’ experience in network engineering or related position.
- CCNP
- NSE4,5,7
**Salary**

Commensurate with experience.

**Salary**: $700,000,000 - $900,000,000 per month
