IDT is looking for a rock star** Database Engineer** to join our database services team. If you are highly motivated, ambitious, ready to learn and make a direct impact, this is your opportunity

The individual in this role will perform database analysis, design and administration functions to deliver on strategic projects specific to organizational goals.

**Responsibilities**

  • Working with developers for designing database objects and SQL queries.
  • Performance monitoring.
  • Cluster Software installation, configuration, patches, upgrades.
  • Own database changes, tuning and managing XDCR.
  • Backup and recovery.
  • On call 24/7 support with other team members.

**Required Skills**

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Couchbase Database administration in a production environment.
  • Experience with Couchbase clusters, XDCR, optimizing Couchbase queries and indexes, services like Query, Index, Data.
  • Good knowledge and experience in Couchbase Troubleshooting, object design and backup / recovery.
  • Ability to handle 99.9% uptime and 24/7 support.
  • Experience with database clusters hosted on Linux.
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 6-8 years of overall database administration experience.

**Nice to have**

  • Prior experience with MongoDB / MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle.
  • Experience with Amazon RDS platform.
  • Prior experience with System / Network administration.
