Position Overview
The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will play a critical role in the finance team, contributing to the strategic planning and decision-making processes by providing valuable financial insights and analyses. This role is vital for ensuring accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring across the organization for the North Latin America Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analyses to support business initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and implementation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analyses, to senior management to aid in strategic decision-making.
- Data Management: Maintain and update financial models and databases to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Strategic Planning: Support long-term strategic planning processes by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather relevant financial information and ensure cohesive financial strategies.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
**Qualifications**:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a similar role within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial software (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle) is essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial analyses and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mastercard's financial systems and processes
- Knowledge of the payments industry and its financial dynamics
- Familiarity with global financial regulations and compliance requirements
