PS Authentic Consultant

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

Report to the Head of Professional Services to support the Company’s EFT processing engine ‘Authentic’.

Small to medium sized project teams focused on client & Product deliverables, with some autonomy, supporting the whole life cycle.

As guided by client requirements and the desired direction of the Product develop functional and architectural enhancements. Typically including:
Development
- Analysis and capture of client and internal requirements
- Development of functional solutions
- Design
- Software development using Java technologies and relational databases
- Unit and integration testing
- Documentation

Implementation
- Analysis and capture of business requirements and processes
- Configuration of messages
- Configuration of interfaces
- Extending business logic and rules (‘actions’ writing in Java)
- Data manipulation

Deployment

o Consultancy

o Training

o System testing

o Certification with external bodies (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, Link)

Support
- Receiving and handling of raised issues post deployment either as part of warranty or ongoing maintenance:
o Incident recording, initial investigation and clarification

o Incident resolution, perhaps by passing on to others

o Patch production and deployment

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience of complex software development and deployment.
- 2+ years Java technologies experience.
- Payment or messaging systems implementation and/or support preferred.
- Perform all duties in accordance with standard procedures laid down from time to time by the company and/or in accordance with the requirements.
- Comply with requirements of the company for reporting, progress monitoring, time recording and any other administrative matters.
- Comply with any other reasonable instructions issued from time to time by the company
