Innovation Portfolio Manager

As SFL Portfolio Manager (PM), you are responsible for leading innovative projects at a speed and scale unprecedented at MSD. You will work closely within the COEC cluster to ensure commercial priorities and innovation needs are supported and guided through disciplined project management with cross functional teams to test & learn new out of the box ideas to improve access for our patients

As a SFL Portfolio Manager (PM), you are responsible for leading innovative projects at a speed and scale unprecedented at MSD. You will work closely with our COEC cluster, regional and Emerging Markets leadership to ensure commercial priorities and innovation needs are supported. As PM you will:
**Drive New Growth and Access Opportunities**: Identify, prioritize, develop, and launch new solutions and business models

**Build and grow Innovation Capabilities**: Develop SFL by creating new organizational capabilities that ensure a steady stream of innovations at MSD

**Champion Innovation and share our learnings**: Evangelize innovation internally and externally and create pull for creative talent

Job Responsibilities

Lead multi-cultural, virtual & F2F innovation teams, following agile and test-and-learn approach, with the support and training of best-in-class innovation consultancy

Manage budget, capabilities and required resources to ensure project success

Work collaboratively with global, regional, and country stakeholders to realize synergies, share learnings, and deliver the SFL mission in a complex environment

Embrace a culture centered around experimentation, agility, and MSD New Ways of Working

Identify pain points and gaps in within the subsidiary and creatively design new solutions

Help Build the Innovative guidance, procedures & operational processes of the SFL

**Requirements**:
A fast learner with a curious mind, finding strength in experimentation, continuous improvement, and growth mindset

Rapidly test innovative ideas using an agile Venture Capitalist design & experimentation methodology

Lead cross-country and cross-functional (Access, Commercial, Policy, Marketing, Medical) EM SWAT innovation teams

Embrace a culture centered around experimentation, agility and MSD New Ways of Working

Identify pain points and gaps in within the markets and creatively design new solutions

Lead multi-cultural, virtual innovation teams, following agile and test-and-learn approach, with the support and training of best-in-class innovation consultancy

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, able to navigate through ambiguity, while maintaining rigor in execution to deliver tangible progress

Product knowledge in priority therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Vaccines or Specialty Care and understanding of the policy and access environments in our market is a nice to have

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in cross-functional environments, driving transformational changes and leading high impact projects

Experienced in influencing without authority and project management

Interested in the innovation ecosystem and healthcare trends relevant to patients’ needs

Strong writing and verbal communications skills in English

Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time
