As part of the Product Engineering organization, the Senior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in **building, operating, and enhancing cloud platform capabilities** that support highly available and scalable services. This role focuses on **implementation, automation, and operational excellence**,** working closely with platform, SRE, and product engineering teams.

We are looking for a **hands-on senior engineer** who thrives in production environments, enjoys solving complex operational problems, and contributes to building reliable cloud platforms. This role requires strong execution skills, ownership of deliverables, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The position involves shift-based work aligned with U.S. Pacific Time business hours and includes participation in an on-call support rotation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design, implement, and automate components of **large-scale distributed cloud systems.**:

- Build tools, automation, and workflows to improve **availability, scalability, latency, and operational efficiency**.
- Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to **deploy high-quality software** in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor production and development environments and implement **preventive and corrective measures** to ensure platform reliability.
- Participate in **incident response, debugging, and root cause analysis** for production issues.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver **consistent and reliable solutions** aligned with.
- Document designs, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides clearly and effectively.
- Contribute to improvements in **reliability metrics** such as availability, MTTD, and MTTR.

**Requirements**:

- 5-7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps Engineering, DevOps, or production operations.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting systems, debugging production issues, and working with networking concepts.
- 3+ years of supporting public cloud (OpenStack, AWS, or GCP), with data center experience preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and automation, using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Working knowledge of databases, networking, containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows (e.g., GitLab).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
