Energy, Procurement Analyst, Andean Region

Primary Function
Procure Energy, Water, Natural or LP Gas and Biomass Materials for all plants in Colombia & Peru.
Develop the Regional strategy with Plants in order to deliver the best results, achieving the plant budget and required service levels. He/she will also be responsible for creating a best in class in business model, including a set of standard performance reports to our stakeholders.
Critical Deliverables
- Establish, in collaboration the business and operations to define and implement an effective short and long term sourcing strategies for required goods and services to meet the saving targets.
- Maximize the strategic sourcing process and available team support to successfully negotiate with vendors and obtain best pricing, delivery, and favorable terms.
- Achieve procurement objectives and targets and ensure that all processes and negotiations are according to Ingredion policies and procedures.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are accomplished by the team and updated regularly in the system.
- Resolve contract differences/disputes with vendors. Obtain legal review and approval of contracts.
- Manage direct internal and external energy vendors to ensure that service meets standards.
- Identify the surplus of electricity generated in the factory in the cogeneration system, considering the costs and prices of purchases of electricity in the market and studying the feasibility of sales, in order to make it available to the concessionaires and to generate profit for the company.
- Monitor the availability of natural gas in the market, as well as in auctions offered by suppliers, analyzing the economic viability, aiming at the purchase option of the product, with the best cost;
- Monitor the availability of electricity in the market and its costs, analyzing the possibility of negotiation with the free market (suppliers), aiming at cost reduction and other supply options in relation to the captive energy market;
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Energy Market
- Demonstrated experience with the Strategic Sourcing Process
- Strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized, and excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to effectively lead/influence key stakeholders and motivate a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Language: High Level of English
- Strong multitasking, time management and organizational abilities required.
