**Overview**
The Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships working collaboratively with cross functional stakeholders and suppliers. Managing assigned indirect categories and all aspects of the strategic sourcing and procurement process including, identifying potential cost savings, operational efficiencies, understanding contract terms, negotiations, and developing and implementing procurement procedures and tools.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage procurement process end-to-end, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing purchase orders.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies and policies.
- Lead sourcing and procurement efforts for assigned categories efficiently and effectively enabling internal stakeholders within each business unit to maximize the value they receive from third party partners.
- Identify cost savings opportunities through category strategy interacting closely with suppliers and internal customers to execute selected initiatives.
- Drive process and system improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency, cost, and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure early and frequent Procurement engagement and procurement activities align with overall company goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential cost savings and process improvements.
- Work closely with Legal to ensure review of agreements and appropriate supplier contracts are in place.
- Educate internal stakeholders on vendor programs and benefits, best negotiation positions, and provide a balanced view of contract risk and liabilities.
- Promote a comprehensive approach to competitive bid and supplier negotiation activities, selection of approved suppliers, and final contract approval/execution.
- Facilitate effective Contract Management, to include robust document control and monitoring of supplier agreement expiration, termination, or renewal requirements.
- Identify and resolve any supplier issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
- And other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- 2-3 years of Purchasing and Procurement Experience demonstrating expertise
- Proficient and knowledgeable in utilizing purchasing technologies.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of purchasing processes.
- Demonstrates business acumen.
- Exceptional planning skills, capable of effectively managing tight deadlines and multiple tasks.
- Skilled in negotiation techniques and adept at establishing and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Results-driven mindset, consistently striving for success.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences of stakeholders and end users, team members, senior management, and executive leadership in cross-functional business environments.
- Highly organized, strategic, and methodical in approach.
- Appreciation for processes, procedures, and governance necessary to lead projects and programs.
- Attention to detail and adept at managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
