Payments Product Owner

PayRetailers is a payment gateway designed to handle mass online payments to the Latin American market.

**Job Duties And Responsibilities**:

- Integration Model Ownership:

- Serve as the product owner for the integration model between the digital wallet and merchants.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and business development, to define integration requirements and APIs.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for merchant integration, considering business objectives, industry standards, and user experience.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the integration model, incorporating feedback from merchants, users, and stakeholders.
- Merchant Onboarding and Support:

- Work close with the compliance team to stablish guidelines for the onboarding process for merchants according to the applicable regulation.
- Drive the merchant onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration experience for merchants wanting to accept the wallet as a payment method.
- Work closely with the sales and business development teams to establish clear guidelines, documentation, and technical support to facilitate merchant integration.
- Provide ongoing support to merchants, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and guiding them through the integration process.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to develop merchant training materials, integration guides, and resources to assist merchants in leveraging the wallet effectively.
- API and Web Responsive Solutions:

- Define and prioritize API requirements and specifications for seamless payment integration with merchants' systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop robust and secure APIs that meet industry standards and enable smooth transaction processing.
- Ensure the wallet's web responsive solutions are optimized for seamless payment experiences across various devices and platforms.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to payment integrations, APIs, and web responsiveness.
- Payment Experience Enhancement:

- Continuously analyze the payment experience for users and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the user experience (UX) and design teams to enhance the checkout process, streamline payment flows, and optimize user interfaces for a frictionless payment experience.
- Gather user feedback, conduct user testing, and monitor industry benchmarks to inform iterative improvements in payment functionality and user experience.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the payments industry with exposure to merchant integrations and APIs.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, merchant onboarding, and API integration models.
- Familiarity with web responsive design principles and best practices for creating optimal user experiences across devices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex payment scenarios and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working in agile methodologies and cross-functional product development teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to payments and data security.
- Passion for innovation, staying up-to-date with industry trends, and driving product excellence.
- English level C1 - B2.
