**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with customers and peers to design and implement workable solutions.
- Define and create solutions to help customers realize the full potential of their Recurly offering.
- Evaluate merchant integrations and offer best practice recommendations.
- Configure, customize, and support custom solutions.
- Build alliances with Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Onboarding teams to solve problems and achieve objectives by sharing knowledge and information.
- Contribute to and foster the Recurly Developer Community.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- At least 1-2 years of programming experience in a commercial/eCommerce environment, preferably with Shopify (liquid), HTML, CSS, Javascript, TypeScript, JSON, etc.
- Shopify Development certification is a plus.
- Experience with integrations such as webhooks and APIs.
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Self-motivated, with strong willingness to learn and continually refine your business acumen and establish domain/industry expertise.
- Good communication skills.
- A “quality first” mindset, with a willingness to advocate for best practices and reuse.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Familiarity with the FinTech industry, preferably with payment gateways.
- Familiarity with database design and SQL development.
- Experience designing and developing custom integrations.
- Desire to turn new features into elegant code.
- Capability to identify technical impacts, recommend best-practice and/or alternate approaches, and provide accurate timeline estimates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Test-driven development experience.
- Online presence as a developer (open source SW, Github, Stack Overflow, etc.)

**Bonus Points**:

- Experience with React, Ruby, BigQuery, or Looker is a plus.
- Understanding testing and ensuring code quality.
