**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

We have a rare opening within our Financial Intelligence Unit for someone to take on the role of business support.

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Supporting the development and execution of team plans for their business area and understands how the department’s goals fit into the wider Financial Crime strategy
- Supporting the bank in meeting its business, legal, regulatory and stakeholder obligations in respect of Financial Crime Compliance. Including identifying, deterring, detecting and disrupting money laundering, sanctions non-compliance, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption and tax evasion risks that arise by way of its activities
- Managing the FIU administrative duties, including governance and controls
- Providing assistance and support the team to ensure adherence to relevant frameworks, policies and procedures
- Supporting the development of procedure and guidance documents and supporting materials in line with San UK Standards

**What you’ll bring.**
- Understanding of the financial services industry, the political and economic environment and Financial Crime typologies, indicators, and Financial Crime risk escalation
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework of UK financial services, industry trends and best practice

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across the function and relevant business areas
- Strong interpersonal skills - persuades and influences others to achieve own deliverables
- Able to plan and organise own time within objectives and to know how work relates to others, with good oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

**What else you need to know.**
- This role is based in Milton Keynes and we are operating on a hybrid basis. _
- This is a permanent role _
