**What We Are Looking For**:
We are seeking a **remote Senior Bookkeeper** with significant **real estate accounting** and **client-facing experience**, particularly using **Yardi Voyager software.** This role requires deep industry knowledge, especially in **commercial property (Retail, Office, Industrial)**, and the ability to independently manage a full month-end close. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing monthly bookkeeping and ensuring accuracy across a portfolio.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance **(required)**:

- 2+ years of experience working with Yardi Voyager **(required)**:

- 2+ years of experience in real estate accounting/finance, ideally at an accounting firm with real estate clients or directly within a real estate investment/development company **(required)**:

- 2-5 years of commercial real estate experience **(required)**:

- Proven experience handling month-end close, tenant receipt processing, bank reconciliations and journal entries **(required)**:

- Certified Public Accountant or equivalent experience **(desired)**:

- Trial balance reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation **(desired)**:

- Management experience in A/P, A/R, and bank reconciliations **(desired)**:

- Experience using **MRI** software **(desired)**:

- Able to lead client meetings with confidence and professionalism
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including purchases, dispositions, refinancing, capitalization of costs, and rental property income statements
- Passion for real estate, accuracy, and delivering insights to clients
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines while remaining calm and organized
- Highly detail

- Proficient with communication and collaboration tools such as **Slack, ClickUp, and Google Workspace**

**Job duties**:

- Timely client communication
- Collaborate with Bookkeepers and the Client Success Director (CSD) on the team
- Complete bank reconciliations, accounts payables, and accounts receivables
- Answer team member questions, provide support for Client on questions
- Assist with month-end close and report generation
- New property set up, move-outs, owner draws, management fees
- Ensure monthly deadlines are achieved

- You are a problem solver always thinking about ways to make things more efficient

**Location and Schedule**:
This is a virtual (remote), full-time role that demands availability between 8am-5pm CST Monday-Friday.
