The** Sr Accountant** will be part of the **Accounting and Finance** and will support our Anadarko Colombia Company subsidiary in managing both short and long term planning as well as in controlling program execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This will be done by working closely with the Assets, Plants and Operational Support groups to gather, analyze and reconcile all necessary data to allow execution of these plans.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Joint Venture Accounting, reporting and reconciliations.
- GL Accounting analysis, journals and reports.
- Local IFRS Support.
- Support in head office accounting books.
- Local accounting compliance support.
- Tax compliance support.
- Cost accounting process and reporting.
- Responsible for JV audits and adjustments.
- Support with local audits, reporting and other accounting task.

**Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- SAP experience in FI, CO, PS, MM, JV Modules
- A minimum of 5 years of related professional and work experience in Oil and Gas sector
- Self-motivated and hardworking individual
- Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable dealing with peers and management
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with peers
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
- Willing to work after hours as needed in order to meet deadlines
- Adapts well to changes in responsibilities and workloads
- Good problem solving and time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

**Desired**:

- JV accounting experience
- SAP BW experience
- Experience in Oil and Gas operating companies
- Fluent in English language

This position is a local payroll position and not eligible for relocation.
