Bilingual Junior Accountant

_We are looking for a Bilingual Junior Accountant_
- Barranquilla, Colombia (onsite position)
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
- This position will support all areas within the accounting group, including payments, reconciliations, customer invoicing, accruals, cost accounting and preparing journal entries. The accountant will also be required to participate in monthly financial closing activities, including processing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting_.

**Responsibilities**:

- This position will report to the Controller and be responsible for data entry and assisting the accounting.
- Prepare journal entries, accounts analysis and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Create model to calculate cost of goods sold.
- Assist with month end closing for various overseas entities.
- Perform profitability analysis for various overseas entities.
- Help with SAP implementation (desired).
- Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Assist in projects with overseas partners.
- Perform other ad hoc requests as assigned by management team.

**Requirements and skills**:

- 1-3 years of experience working as an accountant.
- Advanced English level.
- Minimum education: bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting.
- Experience with general ledger/accounting system, ERP systems, and other Microsoft Office products, proficient in Excel (i.e., VLOOKUP/Pivot table).
- Dedicated individual with initiative, problem solving skills.
- Possess the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Must be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking.
