**About Us**

Founded in 2014, **Tachyus**is a leader in operational optimization for the oil and gas industry.

Our flagship product, **Aqueon**, is a waterflood modeling and optimization platform powered by our proprietary **Data Physics** engine, which has increased production and reduced costs and GHG emissions for operators worldwide. We’ve recently extended Aqueon for CO₂ EOR optimization, already in use by major operators in the U.S.

In early 2022, we expanded into the ESG space with **Aurion**, a fully integrated software platform that helps GHG-intensive industries like oil and gas estimate, forecast, optimize, and report GHG emissions and intensity. Since then, we’ve rapidly established ourselves as a leader with over 20 clients across the U.S., Middle East, and Latin America.

**About the Role**

We are looking for an **Intermediate Backend Developer** to design, build, and evolve our backend services and help shape the next generation of our platform. You will develop new features, enhance existing systems, and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
In this role, you will write clean, well-tested, peer‑reviewed code and collaborate closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and ship new backend features and RESTful APIs.
- Maintain, refactor, and enhance existing.NET Core services and shared components.
- Optimize database queries and data access layers (Dapper + SQL).
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and best practices.
- Participate in team meeting like backlog grooming, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in **ASP.NET Core (C#)**, with a deep understanding of backend system design and architecture.
- Extensive experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and SQL Server, with a focus on query optimization and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and debugging, familiarity with tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows.
- Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with DevOps practices and working in containerized environments such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with Python for developing APIs and secondary services.
- Familiarity with working with Argo Workflows or similar orchestration tools.
- Hands-on experience implementing GitHub Actions or equivalent automation workflows.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and microservices patterns.
- Knowledge of F# and functional programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
