**Title**: UI/UX Designer
**Location**: Bogota, Colombia
As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll be a part of a small team rapidly designing and prototyping new features and ideas for Local News and Digital Audio audiences, including mobile app, website and connected tv. You’ll work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to deliver high quality and thoughtful experiences to our consumers. You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of design and execution, including pitching your ideas, designing the feature (visual design, interaction design, and prototyping), and partnering with engineering to implement your vision. You will be expected to be able to communicate your ideas to team members and leadership within the company.
What You’ll Do
- Design simple and intuitive experiences for mobile, desktop and mobile apps.
- Support product manager on changes needed for design
- Contribute to all stages of the design process from user research to wireframes and shipping the product
- Identify the needs of Entravision websites users and improve on existing features
- Help define the short and long-term roadmap for your product area
- Regularly give and receive feedback on design iterations
- Work closely with product and development area to oversee new user experiences from concept to launch
- Communicate design goals and specifications to the developers, responsible for building them
- Wear multiple hats: Design for other areas including marketing, branding, internal and external presentations, etc.
- Design logos, social media branding, that accompany your sites and creations.
- Execute Quality assurance of all the sites, apps and experiences created after the site is completed, report bugs and errors, until the site is ready for launch.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. You’ll be expected to clearly communicate design strategy to executives, the rest of the team, and to engineers
- Support product lead in designing required UI/UX
- Capacity to innovate and create experiences that are at the forefront of design trends.
- Be proactive, not reactive. Anticipate needs of customer and product. Analyze constantly and improve constantly on your designs.
- Take feedback from colleagues and product managers and act on it.
- Ability to prototype interactive mobile experiences
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have designed and shipped a live consumer web app and mobile app on iOS and Android
- A portfolio showcasing your mobile or interactive design skills and completed work. Plus your experience in innovation, logo creation, social media content creation and presentation design.
- Proven Experience in Adobe Suite Products, like Photoshop or Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, Zeplin and other design or prototyping tools
- Knowledge of mobile and web design best practices.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
