We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our remote team. This role requires ensuring that our company's products and services are fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. You should have a comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards and best practices, along with experience in accessibility testing methodologies and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure our company's products and services are fully accessible to individuals with disabilities, adhering to established accessibility standards and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including designers, developers, and project managers, to integrate accessibility considerations throughout the software development lifecycle
- Compile A11y Compliance Reports/VPATs and develop accessibility specifications for our products and services
- Lead accessibility workshops and training sessions to raise awareness and encourage best practices within the team
- Participate in brainstorming and other idea-generating sessions to identify innovative ways to enhance accessibility
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- 3+ years of experience in accessibility testing and consulting
- Comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 compliance
- Experience in compiling A11y Compliance Reports/VPATs and creating accessibility specifications
- Proficiency in A11y testing methodologies and processes
- Experience with A11y evaluation tools, such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
- Familiarity with screen readers and other assistive technologies
- Excellent consulting and communication skills
- Proficient in English, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level
