We're looking for a Backend Engineer who lives and breathes AI infrastructure, voice-based agents, and Python
microservices. You'll help us power everything under the hood-from conversation memory and retrieval pipelines to the
agent brain itself.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using FastAPI for our AI voice agents
- Build, scale, and containerize services using Docker and Kubernetes
- Integrate and optimize voice workflows using Twilio, Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, and ElevenLabs
- Implement and scale Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases
- Build and deploy agents using LangChain, CrewAI, MCP, ADK, and related orchestration frameworks
- Connect with LLM APIs like OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini via RESTful endpoints
- Work within Google Cloud Platform, using Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, and secure data pipelines
- Architect data gathering tools and model context protocols for long-term memory and agent reliability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, product, and AI research teams
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of backend development (Python, FastAPI preferred)
- Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable microservices
- Hands-on experience with voice-based AI agents or conversational interfaces
- Experience with LLMs and LLM tooling frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, ADK, MCP tools)
- Solid knowledge of the A2A (Agent-to-Agent) protocol and MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- Proven experience deploying agents on Google Cloud Platform, including best practices for scalability and reliability
AI Voice Agent Backend Engineer Job Offer
- Experience handling agent sessions, including session lifecycle management and session storage in databases
- Ability to build custom tools and utilities for agent orchestration using Google ADK
- Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate)
- Strong understanding of RAG pipelines, LLM APIs, and prompt engineering
- Experience integrating third-party APIs (OpenAI, Google AI, Claude, ElevenLabs, Twilio)
- Prior work with Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-style environment with autonomy and ownership
Nice to Have
- Voicebot or phone agent deployment experience
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects
- Experience with audio streaming, STT latency optimization, or real-time TTS synthesis
- Familiarity with memory persistence tools for agents
- Understanding of compliance/security protocols in AI communications
