The Opportunity: We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience to drive the development of our horizontal payment solutions. In this role, you will be the technical expert responsible for integrating major processors like Stripe and PayPal, ensuring every transaction is secure, efficient, and seamless. You will thrive in an Agile environment, collaborating with payment industry experts to translate complex business requirements into high-performance, scalable technical solutions. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Payment Integration: Develop and maintain mission-critical integrations with Stripe, PayPal, and other payment processors. Product Innovation: Collaborate with industry experts to build and enhance API-driven and SaaS-based horizontal payment solutions. Architecture & Design: Contribute to system architecture design, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and PCI‑DSS compliance. Technical Leadership: Participate in deep code reviews, advocating for security best practices and continuous improvement. Quality Assurance: Design and implement comprehensive automated unit, integration, and E2E tests to ensure top‑tier software quality. Production Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues promptly. Security & Compliance: Maintain the integrity of payment transactions by ensuring strict compliance with PCI‑DSS and other security standards. Our Core Tooling & Tech Stack Primary Stack: .NET (Required), C#, Java, or Python Architecture: HTTP, RESTful APIs, Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) What We're Looking For (Qualifications) Experience: 7+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on building scalable applications. Payment Expertise: Hands‑on experience integrating payment processing solutions such as Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Square, or similar. Technical Mastery: Strong proficiency in .NET (Must‑Have) and experience with modern front‑end frameworks. Adaptability: Proven ability to rapidly adapt to diverse codebases and drive product roadmap initiatives. Cloud Knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS for scalable and resilient application development. Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Bonus Skills and Experience Experience in e‑commerce application development and transaction flows. Proficiency in database design using SQL Server and NoSQL document stores. Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, MSMQ) and search technologies. Strong understanding of unit testing techniques (mocks/fakes). Experience working within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development frameworks.
