Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) Overview Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) Responsibilities Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, including APIC, fabric setup, multi-site architectures, contracts, and policies. Proficient in troubleshooting fabric discovery, endpoint learning, static bindings, Bridge Domains, and L3Out configurations. Strong knowledge of ACI device provisioning, upgrades, and APIC GUI navigation. Deep expertise with Nexus 2k/5k/7k/9k series: configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support. Advanced skills with NX-OS, vPC, FabricPath, VXLAN, and EVPN technologies. Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, VPCs, port channels, STP, LACP, and multicast routing. Strong practical experience with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, route maps, redistribution, and peering. Demonstrated ability to design and implement high-availability networks and failover scenarios. Skilled in both Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch configuration and verification. Experience working with data formats such as XML and JSON. Hands-on familiarity with network automation tools, including Cisco NSO, Postman, and Insomnia. Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python, used for ACI migrations and automation tasks. Maintenance Windows Information Maintenance hours (weekend and weeknight) are paid at the same standard rate – it’s all standard rate because they won't work more than 40 hours a week. Do the maintenance/support shifts require continuous work, or are they on call in support of tickets? Not in support of tickets. They are executing the Method of Procedures, so they are on the window until the work is complete. It depends on the complexity of the change, but they can typically be anywhere from 2 hours to 8 hours. Is there advanced scheduling for the support shifts?
