As an Accounting Associate in Aprio’s Tax team, you will help clients maximize their opportunities in a dynamic and fast‑growing environment. Position Responsibiltiies The accountant is responsible for the day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks of the clients that have been assigned to the team. Update bank accounts via online feed. Import bank/credit‑card transactions via manual feed. Coding of bank and credit‑card transactions. Reach out to the senior accountant or team lead for any open items to be sent to the PM. Manage the processing of bills and receipts via any third‑party web‑based application of the clients (e.g., Bill.com, ReceiptBank). This includes coding, description, service date, and assigning approvers. Process the bills uploaded in the Inbox on a specific schedule. This will include the code to be used, description, service date, and the approvers to be assigned. Reach out to the senior accountant or team lead for the review of the bills processed. On a case‑to‑case basis, enter customer deposits, application of payments, and any other AR‑related tasks assigned by the PM to the team. Depending on the payroll schedule, match the transaction or enter the appropriate journal entry based on the reports provided. During the closing season, reconcile the page in any accounting software, update the working paper, and post entries in the books. Self‑review of work. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field. At least 1 year of working experience in the BPO industry. Experience using XERO and QBO required. Experience using NetSuite preferred but not required. Experience handling Hospitality and e‑commerce clients preferred. A licensed CPA is an advantage. Can communicate clearly and effectively.
