World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. WBL services its loan portfolio and loan portfolios for third parties, specializing in the management of non-performing loan pools and REO.

WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.

This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time (4:00pm-1:00am or 5:00pm-2:00am Istanbul time), Monday through Friday. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English.

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Hazard Insurance Analyst to join our lending team. This role is integral to ensuring our portfolio of real estate-collateralized loans is compliant with hazard insurance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loans or mortgage operations, with expertise in insurance verification and portfolio management.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify hazard insurance policies to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Leverage an Excel workbook to monitor insurance coverage and confirm it meets the required terms, conditions, and coverage amounts.
  • Address lapses in coverage by coordinating with borrowers, lenders, and insurance providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance policies for the company’s real estate-collateralized loan portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the lending team to ensure proper insurance is in place before loan funding.
  • Provide clear communication on insurance requirements and timelines.
  • Generate regular reports on the status of insurance compliance across the loan portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
  • 1-2 years’ work experience in a Lending or Mortgage Company preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering/Sciences, or Finance desirable.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge required.
  • Proactive approach and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to learn quickly and prioritize workload independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
