About the Position We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join a fast-growing company that builds infrastructure connecting software to the physical world through smart devices. This is a contract position, working remotely within ET or PT time zones. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally within SaaS or IoT environments, with strong visual design sensibilities and excellent communication skills. This person will focus on refreshing existing UI flows, improving the onboarding experience, and developing prototypes using Figma and Cursor, with basic front-end coding skills in React. Responsibilities Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refresh existing UI flows and improve user onboarding processes. Create and iterate on high-fidelity prototypes using Figma. Leverage Cursor and other AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency. Utilize an existing design system to ensure consistency across product features. Contribute to the execution of intuitive, elegant user interfaces with a focus on visual excellence. Write basic front-end code when needed, primarily using React, and collaborate closely with developers for implementation. Share design work regularly with leadership and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to meet high design standards. Requirements 3-5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design. Proven experience in SaaS or IoT product environments. Proficiency with Figma for UI design and prototyping. Experience using Cursor or similar AI tools in the design or development process. Basic front-end development skills, with familiarity in React. Strong visual design skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Portfolio or personal website showcasing relevant design work (required). Nice To Have Experience with other front-end frameworks like Angular or Vue. Background in service design or UI flow optimization. Familiarity with additional AI tools such as GitHub Copilot. Prior involvement in small, fast-paced teams or startup environments.
