Role Summary: The Junior Full-Stack Engineer is a curious engineer early in their career who supports full-stack development tasks while learning how to integrate AI tooling into daily workflows. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow quickly under mentorship, gain exposure to real production systems, and contribute to an AI-driven product. Key Role Characteristics Experience : 2+ years building full-stack web applications with Angular on the frontend and Python/Django on the backend. Frontend : Able to work with Angular standalone components and app structure, integrate UI with backend REST APIs, and build basic forms and state handling using common Angular/RxJS patterns. Backend : Hands-on experience with Django models, views and serializers; able to implement simple CRUD APIs, basic business rules and JWT-based authentication. Good understanding of SQL fundamentals and relational data modelling; can write and manage migrations. Awareness of common OWASP risks such as SQL injection, XSS and CSRF and how to avoid them in day-to-day work. Basic understanding of Docker ; can run and manage containers locally. Exposure to cloud environments (e.g. AWS) is a plus, especially working with logs, dashboards and basic monitoring. Eager to learn and adopt GenAI tools (code assistants, documentation search, etc.) to accelerate implementation and improve productivity. Experience writing simple unit tests, following coding standards and incorporating PR feedback; exposure to CI/CD and code review practices. C1-level English proficiency (written and spoken), comfortable working with international teams. Soft Skills Communication : Clear, concise written and verbal communication across distributed teams (LATAM, US, India). Open to feedback, asks for guidance when needed, and applies suggestions quickly. Curiosity & Learning : Actively learns new technologies, follows best practices and stays current with tech trends, especially around AI. Reliability : Meets commitments, manages time well, and proactively asks for help before blockers impact delivery. Collaboration : Works well with QA, Product, DevOps and other engineers; comfortable pairing and participating in code reviews. Organizational Context Reports to the Nub8 Tech Lead . Works side‑by‑side with senior developers and distributed/offshore team members . Gradually takes ownership of small features, bugs, and iterations. Expected to become proficient in AI-augmented workflows over time. Long-term position designed for accelerated learning and growth.
