If you enjoy busy days of working with fellow IT professionals to solve problems and create long-term solutions, then apply to join the team We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience switching, routing, and designing and supporting complex networks to join our network engineering team. You will get to work with engineers, technicians, and other IT professionals on a variety of environments, projects, and problems. This is a fully remote permanent contract position which requires excellent English communication and the ability to work according to a GMT-8 schedule. Interviews and work will be in English. You must apply with an English resume to be considered for the role. Candidates may be located in South America or Central America. Responsibilities Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) Configure and troubleshoot firewalls (Palo Alto and Fortinet), routers, switches, and WiFi Be a subject matter expert in switching and routing Troubleshoot networks on internal and customer environments independently and with other engineers Mentor team members on technical issues, train current and future engineers Communicate with users as needed Create and maintain complete technical documentation Fully track time and work done on internal and customer tickets and projects Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability Participate in a rotating on-call schedule Perform other job‑related duties as necessary You should be deeply experienced with: Fortinet and/or Palo Alto firewall configuration and network design Configuration and troubleshooting of network devices including switches and routers BGP in an MSPs, data centers, or other multi‑tenant environments TCP/IP, Layer 2 (VLAN), and Layer 3 Wireless (802.11x) Requirements 5+ years of experience designing network architecture 8+ years of network engineering experience B2 minimum English skills, C1/C2 preferred Preferred candidates will also have: Experience architecting and configuring enterprise networks Networking certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, PCNSE, PCNSC, FCX, FCSS, FCP Degree in network or system engineering Compensation and Benefits Selected candidates' job grade and total compensation will be determined by the evaluation of factors including relevant skills, knowledge, and experience, English mastery, shifts taken, and geographic location. Excellent candidates who show exceptional skills and knowledge may be considered for higher‑level positions. Contractors who complete the first 90 days of employment will be eligible for Paid Time Off of up to 10 vacation/personal days , 5 sick days , birthdays off , and 8 US holidays each year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
