Position Title: Senior Full Stack Developer (Java and Angular)
Location: Hybrid - Medellin, Colombia
What you will be doing:
- Extensive experience promoting and working with test driven development
- Hands-on participation in design, coding, testing, and deploying systems
- Mentoring and encouraging other developers
- Experience with various back-end micro-services frameworks (Spring, Helidon)
- Strong experience working with Angular front-end
- Promoting a DevOps culture which drives continuous delivery
- Improving and promoting Agile SCRUM practices
- Improving existing architectures as business needs and tech stacks evolve
- Working effectively with remote and internal development teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related subject
- Proven hands-on Software Development experience, 10+ years
- Proven experience in Java and Web development technologies, 3+ years
- Profound insight of Java internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, Oracle, SQL and ORM technologies (Hibernate, iBatis)
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and popular JavaScript libraries
- Working knowledge of REST frameworks
- Experience with WebSphere application server and embeddable web servers
- Experience with containers, and cloud operating environments (AWS, Azure, OCI) – OCI is a plus
- Experience with cloud native technologies – FaaS, DaaS, Kafka – is a plus
- Experience with Maven, Git and GitHub
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira)
- Experience with Jasper Reports
- Experience working with front-end on Angular, 5+ years
Nice to haves:
- Experience in Supply Chain Logistics is a plus
- Experience in development of Warehouse Management systems is a plus
- Experience interfacing with autonomous control systems is a plus
- Working knowledge of C programming in the Unix/Linux environment.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across different time zones
