Job Summary

The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing marketing automation strategies to enhance customer engagement, lead generation, and overall marketing efficiency. This role involves managing marketing technology platforms, executing automated campaigns, and leveraging data analytics to improve marketing performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of marketing automation tools and processes, as well as a solid grasp of the unique challenges and regulatory requirements within the financial services industry. The Marketing Automation Specialist will collaborate with marketing, sales, and compliance teams to ensure that automated efforts align with business goals and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as the subject matter expert on the Ortto platform and provide training and support to other team members as needed.

Database Management:

  1. Maintain and manage the lead, contact, and account databases in Salesforce.
  2. Ensure data cleanliness, deduplication, and segmentation based on customer criteria.

Campaign Management:

  1. Build and manage marketing campaigns in Salesforce, including email, SMS, and other digital marketing initiatives.
  2. Develop and execute marketing journeys on Ortto, including customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and reactivation campaigns.
  3. Regularly upload and update content in Ortto to support ongoing and new campaigns.

Segmentation and Targeting:

  1. Create customer segments based on various criteria to ensure targeted communication.
  2. Use customer insights to refine segments and improve campaign performance.

Testing and Optimization:

  1. Conduct A/B tests to optimize campaign performance and continually improve key metrics.
  2. Monitor campaign performance and implement optimizations based on data-driven insights.

Reporting and Analysis:

  1. Generate regular reports from Salesforce and Ortto to track campaign performance, including key metrics like open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
  2. Analyze campaign data to provide insights and recommendations for future optimizations.

Content Management:

  1. Work closely with the content team to ensure that all campaign materials are compelling, relevant, and align with brand messaging.
  2. Ensure all content is correctly formatted and uploaded into Ortto for various lifecycle stages.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  1. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to align strategies and maximize the impact of lifecycle marketing efforts.

Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in marketing automation, CRM management, or a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Ortto marketing automation platform.
  4. Strong analytical skills with experience in A/B testing and campaign optimization.
  5. Excellent communication and project management skills.
  6. Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  1. Experience in the financial services sector or another highly regulated industry.
  2. Knowledge of lead generation, lead nurturing, and customer segmentation best practices.
  3. Certification in marketing automation platforms or CRM systems.
