Now, let’s make sure you’re a good fit for the role: Must-have Skills Product Design (UX/UI) Conducting basic user research and translating insights into wireframes, flows, and prototypes. Designing in Figma (or equivalent), with strong attention to usability and accessibility. Creating and maintaining design systems and reusable components. Working iteratively based on feedback and product metrics. UI Engineering (Frontend) Writing clean, semantic HTML/CSS and modular JavaScript. Building interfaces using React (or similar frameworks like Vue/Svelte). Implementing design systems in code (e.g., using Tailwind, styled-components, or CSS Modules). Ensuring responsive, accessible (a11y), and cross-browser compatible UIs. Familiarity with Git and basic dev workflows. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Implementing technical SEO best practices: meta tags, schema, robots.txt, canonical URLs, etc. Using semantic HTML to support both accessibility and search discoverability. Understanding Core Web Vitals and optimizing for performance (using Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights). Collaborating on content structure, internal linking, and user journeys from search. Nice-to-have: AI Tooling Proficiency : Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows. Experience with headless CMS or static site generators (e.g. Next.js, Astro, Sanity). Familiarity with web analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console). Some background in content strategy or marketing. A strong design portfolio and live examples of web projects you've built and optimized.
