Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our remote team and support a portfolio of business clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring proper recording of transactions, and delivering timely, reliable financial reports. This role requires proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients in English. You will play a key role in preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing revenues and expenses, and providing insights that help clients make informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities Maintain and operate a complete and systematic set of general ledgers in compliance with accounting standards. Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and verify balances. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. Process and reconcile payroll transactions, including payroll tax liabilities. Compile and analyze financial data to prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and ad-hoc reports. Monitor clients’ pending documents and follow up on outstanding items. Review and clarify ambiguous transactions directly with clients. Provide regular progress updates and upscale issues impacting deadlines. Maintain effective, professional communication with clients, including report presentations and status discussions. Assist in forecasting by analyzing trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent. Certified Public Accountant is highly desirable and preferred. Experience with preparing Financial Statements. Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience. Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (native-level English required for client interactions). Strong background in Finance and Accounting principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), Excel, and other financial software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experience. Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
