Role Overview We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented individual to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about accounting and eager to gain hands-on experience across bookkeeping, accounting, and tax functions within a structured and supportive remote environment. Role Description Process Accounts Payable for clients by reviewing, coding, and processing transactions on a recurring basis Process Accounts Receivable and maintain accurate A/R records, including reviewing, coding, and recording cash receipts Support client engagement teams with month-end close activities and annual budget preparation Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, receivables, payables, and other balance sheet accounts Assist with general ledger accounting tasks in accordance with GAAP Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including data entry and journal entries within QuickBooks Online Assist with tax preparation and related tasks as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred Strong desire to learn and grow professionally Ability to work 20-30 hours per week initially , with the potential for increased hours based on performance and capabilities Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping Proven experience working with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online preferred) Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax preparation is highly desirable Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment , with a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace Compensation & Work Structure Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected Hours: 20-30 hours per week Starts as an hourly role 6-month performance and fit review Opportunity to transition to full-time employment with benefits Defined career progression and next-level roadmap We believe growth should be built into every role.
