Job Description Summary

Administer the policies, procedures, controls and financial reporting requirements for the Nogales manufacturing facility. Additional responsibilities include the safeguarding of assets (inventory, fixed assets, cash, etc.) as well as the management and development of the Finance and Information System staff.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

  1. Maintain a system of accounts and financial records which are in compliance with established Bard accounting procedures and controls which include the coherent and timely recording and reporting of financial data.
  2. Account for all cash receipts and all disbursements.
  3. Establish and maintain adequate internal financial controls to protect Bard assets.
  4. Prepare and issue all financial statements, reports, budgets, estimates, forecasts and related statistics as required.
  5. Analyze and interpret the financial operations and trends of the business on a timely basis and provide an “early warning system” to assess effectiveness of annual and strategic plans.
  6. Provide financial advice and counsel to Plant Management on business operations, plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  7. Review, coordinate and approve capital and operating budgets for the Nogales facility.
  8. Develop financial personnel to meet the needs of the plant and company.
  9. Serve as the lead financial member for Nogales plant projects.
  10. Manage the I/S function.
  11. Responsible to prepare spending and variance forecast for following 3 months (BVR) accurately and timely.
  12. Align finance department with plant strategic objectives and 3-year plan.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance preferably.
  • CPA or CMA a strong plus.
  • 5-7 years progressive experience with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity preferably.
  • Prior exposure to cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Ability to handle multiple tasks assignments under tight time constraints.
