The Role We are hiring a Head of Operations to run day-to-day execution across our hospitality portfolio and act as the execution arm of the CEO . This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who knows how to run operations, enforce standards, and build systems — not just talk about them. This role is full-time and urgent . What You’ll Own Hotel Operations & GM Supervision Act as the primary operational supervisor of the General Manager Ensure the hotel operates to brand and performance standards Track and review Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, Guest experience metrics, Staffing, scheduling, service quality Flag risks early (ops issues, staffing gaps, cost creep) You do not replace the GM — you hold them accountable Portfolio Operations (Hotels + Airbnb) Oversee operations across boutique hotel(s) and short-term rentals Ensure consistency in Guest experience, Reporting, Maintenance and issue resolution Identify underperforming assets and drive corrective actions Willing to step in as a temporary operational backstop when critical gaps arise, while ensuring long-term ownership remains with the appropriate team or role. KPIs, Dashboards & Reporting Own all operations dashboards and reporting Build and maintain weekly executive dashboards, property-level KPIs, team accountability metrics Deliver clear, CEO-level weekly summaries If it’s not visible in a dashboard, it doesn’t exist Financial Acumen (Operations-Focused) Strong ability to read and interpret P&Ls, budgets, and budget vs. actuals Identify cost overruns and margin leakage and drive operational fixes Understand how execution impacts ADR, occupancy and margins Partner with CEO and finance to keep operations aligned with budget This role is not responsible for accounting or bookkeeping—financial insight is used strictly to drive better execution. Operating Cadence & Meetings Run and enforce daily huddles, weekly ops meetings, execution reviews Set agendas, track action items, ensure follow-through Meetings are short, structured, and outcome-driven Project Management & SOP Ownership Act as PM (or PM supervisor) for launches and improvements Own the SOP library across Hotel operations, Airbnb operations and internal workflows Ensure SOPs are documented, current, and actually followed Reduce tribal knowledge and execution chaos Hiring & Vendor Coordination (Execution Level) Coordinate operational hiring (screening, onboarding, SOP rollout) Partner with CEO on final hiring decisions Manage and coordinate all external vendors (marketing, ops, construction, accountant) Ensure vendors deliver to scope, timelines, and standards What Success Looks Like (90 Days) Hotel operations are stable and predictable GM is executing independently but accountable Dashboards provide real visibility (no surprises) SOPs exist for critical workflows CEO is no longer chasing updates or solving ops problems Who You Are You’re a strong fit if you: Have run operations , not just planned them Are comfortable holding senior people accountable Think in systems, KPIs, and execution cadence Strong financial acumen Stay calm under pressure Communicate clearly and directly Take ownership and finish what you start Backgrounds that work well Head / Director of Operations Hospitality operations leader Startup ops leader with real execution responsibility Why This Role Matters This role is critical to scaling The Vesta Group.
