Overview F5 is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team in Bogota, Colombia. The role blends sales and technical expertise to partner with customers and channel partners, designing, demonstrating, and implementing F5 security solutions across a variety of industries. Responsibilities Understand customer business and technical requirements and translate them into F5 solutions. Deliver consultative sales presentations, technical designs, demonstrations, and Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC) tests. Collaborate closely with the named Account Manager to drive the sales process and achieve allotted sales targets. Identify and qualify technical decision makers (TDMs), secure technical validation, and obtain partner sponsorship when selling through channel partners. Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of F5 products and the broader security ecosystem, becoming a regional expert for a focused set of use‑cases. Create and support sales content such as presentations, use‑case decks, and solution configurations. Leverage SE tools (Salesforce, SharePoint, email groups) and F5 readiness programs to track opportunities and customer interactions. Advise on and resolve conflicts, negotiate solutions, and uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics. Provide post‑sales support in collaboration with F5 Technical Support, guiding customers on case resolution. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent written and oral communication in Spanish and English. Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate business value. Proficient in network and multi‑cloud design, including security, cloud, and application layers. Hands‑on experience with switching, routing, SNMP, syslog, AD, Radius, TACACS+, LDAP, SAML, OAuth, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DNS, HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP. Experience with virtualization, Active Directory, and domain design. Programming/scripting knowledge (Python, TCL, Java, Perl, C/C++). Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform. Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platforms. Qualifications 8+ years of related industry experience. 5+ years of pre‑sales experience working with channel partners. Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent work experience.
