We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, inventory movement, and third-party logistics (3PL) coordination. This role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely delivery of goods while managing carrier relationships and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly organized, and experienced in managing logistics operations in a remote, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Logistics & Transportation Management Manage inbound and outbound transportation across domestic and international shipments. Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers to ensure on-time delivery. Optimize routing, carrier selection, and freight modes (LTL, FTL, parcel, ocean, air). Monitor shipment performance and resolve delays, damages, or discrepancies. 2. Inventory & Distribution Oversight Collaborate with warehouse and supply chain teams to align inventory flow and storage strategies. Monitor inventory movement to minimize stockouts, overstock, and transit delays. Support demand planning and replenishment activities through accurate logistics data. Manage relationships with logistics service providers, including contract negotiation and performance reviews. Establish and track KPIs such as OTIF, transit time, freight cost, and service levels. Drive accountability and continuous improvement with external partners. 4. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with U.S. transportation regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance standards. Maintain accurate shipping documentation and records. Identify and mitigate logistics risks, including carrier disruptions and capacity constraints. 5. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze logistics metrics and cost drivers to identify savings opportunities. Prepare dashboards and reports on freight spend, delivery performance, and operational efficiency. Use data insights to support strategic logistics decisions. 6. Process Improvement & Automation Lead initiatives to improve logistics workflows, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Implement or enhance transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics automation tools. Standardize SOPs and support continuous improvement programs. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales teams. Communicate shipment status, risks, and performance updates to stakeholders. Support new product launches and business growth initiatives from a logistics perspective. Required Skills & Qualifications Core Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution management. Strong knowledge of domestic and international logistics operations. Experience managing 3PLs, carriers, and freight forwarders. Proficiency with ERP, TMS, or logistics platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Manhattan, Descartes, etc.). Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for data analysis and reporting.
