Note: If you're hired for this role, you may be asked to update your LinkedIn profile :) About the Role We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to drive the creation of secure, high‑performance native Android applications for digital banking and payments. You will lead development efforts, ensuring robust functionality and compliance with financial industry standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin/Java. Build and integrate digital payments features (card processing, mobile wallets, peer‑to‑peer transfers). Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver banking and payments solutions. Ensure security, encryption, and compliance with financial regulations (PCI DSS). Optimize app performance, scalability, and reliability across diverse Android devices. Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical strategy. Keep up to date with Android SDKs, Google Play guidelines, and fintech trends. Requirements 5+ years of professional experience in native Android app development. Significant experience in digital banking and payments applications. Strong expertise in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, Material Design. Experience with payment gateways, tokenization, NFC, Google Pay, and secure transaction flows. Knowledge of security protocols, authentication (OAuth2, biometrics), and PCI compliance. Experience with Socket.io RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile architecture patterns (MVP, MVVM, Clean Architecture). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Google Play deployment. Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem‑solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience). Note: This is a full‑time position with a standard Monday to Friday schedule, aligned with the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. The salary for this role is 3500 USD per month, under a consulting contract. The engagement will start as a three‑month contract, with the possibility of extending it to six months, based on performance and project needs.
